About the Author
Damona Hoffman, aka “Dear Mrs D”, was an early adopter of the online dating trend in 2001. At the time she was working in television casting for CBS and teaching courses at night for actors on auditioning and marketing techniques. The classes were focused on personal branding and making a good impression in an audition room. She began applying her techniques for actors towards her own online dating “career” and realized that the better her branding was and the more prepared she was to make the first impression, the better her results. In 2003, she met the man who would later become her husband on a dating site. She then began sharing her unconventional strategies with others and they have led to many marriages, children and happy relationships over the last 10 years. Dear Mrs D runs her website DearMrsD.com, coaches private clients in both online and offline dating, and holds regular seminars and mixers. This year, she also joined forces with Match.com to provide this service for their members. In addition to writing for The Huffington Post, Damona Hoffman pens a bi-monthly column on JDate, and hosts a radio program, Dates & Mates with Dear Mrs D on the new UBN radio. Mrs. Hoffman holds a B.S. in Communications from Northwestern University and a Graduate Certificate from UCLA.

Spin Your Web is Super Helpful!

I bought this book thinking it was about self-branding, not realizing it was related to online dating and relationships. As a person who considers themselves to be naive in the world of dating "rules," Spin Your Web breaks down the reasons why some dates work and others don't, as well as why what I'm putting out into the ether of love matters on a subconscious level. Plus, it had the self-marketing techniques I was seeking in the first place!
Great book with unexpected information for a low, low price!

The Queen of Online Dating

This is the most helpful dating book I've ever read.
I'm a shy guy who was never very good at meeting women at bars, so online dating always appealed to me. Mrs. D's common sense advice has transformed the way I approach it. Thinking about what my "brand" is has helped me focus my profile and narrow my searches. And her ideas work. Since I read her book, I've gotten a whole lot more dates than I did before.
If you're serious about being a more successful online dater, I can't recommend this book highly enough.
